Walk the talk

As a teacher, I would always encourage my students to try new things, even though it may be something that they might not ever have thought of doing. I would cheer them on into making mistakes, and I would be there to support them.

“Be a risk taker,” I would say, urging them not to be afraid but simply start with an idea. They would often be surprised by how this new learning impact how they feel and think about themselves.

So this first post is for my students.

Here I am kids, trying something new and something that is unfamiliar to me but, through this, I will learn, I will make mistakes, and I might even be frustrated, but I believe this will also help me be a better teacher for you. Now, I can vouch that it is okay to be scared, anxious and question so many things even before starting but, once you start, everything will be okay.

This blog has been a plan of mine for a long time… until a mentor and new found friend urged me to write not for anyone but myself, to keep it simple and make it my own. Thank you for the guidance and continued support. Here I am, a teacher, learning something new and inquiring along the way.

If you wish, I invite you to come along and join me in this quest of learning and reflecting, on my journey as an inquiring teacher…
